What was the highlight of Tryp Ciudad de Alicante Hotel
Not worth the extra money for the premium room. Over-rated.
Location was excellent- close to the centre and attractions. It is in a lovely building; check-in staff excellent- very helpful. Comfortable bed
The room was far too hot even with the heating off and door open (we stayed beginning of March), to the point we couldn't sleep and kept waking in the night. The toilet seat had a very nasty mark on it (which looked like blood) that I had to clean from previous guest. The wake-up call we requested didn't happen. We paid extra for a premium room with a balcony - the balcony was filthy and looked out over a back street and other buildings - not the pretty view in the picture. There's no blind or curtains in the bathroom so the neighbours can see everything you do - in silhouette. The bedroom floor was dusty. Premium rooms not worth the extra money.

Convenient stop-over in a very nice city
Very centraly located and convenient for families on the go. We stayed at Tryp-Alicante for a night on our way further south of Spain and the facilities + garage made it a very good stay-over for a night.

Terrible stay - would never recommend.
Absolutely awful, we had to move hotels during the night as the air con wasn't working which we asked at reception and they said no it's only heat, so we had to have the windows open and then it was so noisy.

No air conditioning
Location
Air con not switched on as only end if Feb. Rooms unbearably hot. Opening windows resulted in getting multiple insect bites and street noise from outside. Eventually got a fan from housekeeping. The oldest, noisy, rattling and inefficient fan I’ve ever seen. Thankfully only a mini break as couldn’t have stayed longer than the 3 days booked.
